Should I remain silent? You have the right to remain silent, so use it. Even if police officers say they "just want to hear your side of the story," your words can be used against you. Remember this phrase: "Officer, I am exercising my right to remain silent and will not answer any questions without my lawyer."

I’ve been arrested for DUI – what can I expect?
Your license can be suspended before you even go to court. You only have 10 days from a DUI arrest to request a DMV hearing. We can help you with DMV and the court. In most DUI cases, we can appear for you, so you won't have to miss work or school.

Should I post bail?Call us first. Jail is a scary place, and most people want to get out as soon as possible... but posting bail can be expensive. We can help you get the best possible rate on a bail bond and may be able to get your loved one released without posting bail at all.
-
Are phone calls from jail recorded?
All calls from the jail are recorded. Prosecutors can take innocent remarks out of context and make them sound like confessions. Do not discuss your loved one's case during jail calls. We regularly meet with clients at the jail, and our conversations are protected by the Sixth Amendment.

How much does it cost to hire an attorney?
Hiring a top criminal defense attorney isn't cheap, but we always try to keep rates fair, reasonable, and competitive. The cost depends on the seriousness of the charges, the complexity of the case, the client's criminal record, and other factors. In most cases, we can set a flat fee that covers the entire case, so you'll know what to expect to the end. All fees are laid out in a written agreement specific to your case. We accept most major credit cards.
